CIRCLE
canvas, original technique, 60х60cm
2023
The circle in this work does not appear as a neutral geometric form — it pulls the eye inward like a living structure in which movement, rhythm, and tension have already become a single body. The concentric layers of red, green, blue, yellow, and deep brown do not expand evenly: each ring pulses, breaks, and trembles at the edge, as if the form were assembled not through calculation, but through inner vibration. The gaze is inevitably drawn toward the center, yet the center offers no rest and does not complete the movement — it only intensifies the sense of being pulled inward, as though the entire surface were governed by attraction, breathing, and recurring impulse.
The circle here, for me, is not a symbol of completion, but a form of endless inner process. It holds within itself order, unease, and an almost bodily sense of pressure. The ornamental force of the work is not decorative: behind its rhythm there is a persistent movement inward, where each new layer does not calm the image, but makes its depth more complex. That is why the painting works almost hypnotically — not as a static sign, but as an environment in which repetition becomes a mode of immersion, and form turns into experience.
