DEMIURGE'S EYE
canvas, original technique, 60х60cm
2023
The gaze in this work does not observe from a distance — it gathers, absorbs, and transforms. The large circular form holds the entire composition as a field of attraction in which darkness, color, radiance, and depth collide. The bright pink background does not soften the image; it intensifies its almost hypnotic tension. The black masses inside the circle act as a zone of concentration, the turquoise sectors introduce a cold clarity, the gold disc below adds weight and the sense of a hidden center, while the small pulsating core above feels like the point where chaos has not yet become a world, but has already begun to organize itself into order.
The image is sustained by a tension between the cosmic and the inward. The eye can be read here as a symbol of creation, a mechanism of control, or a form of consciousness that both generates and absorbs. The tension therefore comes not from narrative, but from structure itself: the outer circle holds the whole together, yet everything inside it remains mobile, unstable, almost dangerously alive. The work is compelling precisely because of that doubleness — it carries magnetism, decorative force, and the presence of an ancient sign that never fully explains itself, but continues to look back.
