A diagonal crack cuts across the surface of the canvas, dividing the space into two uneven zones. Ashen grey and silver tones along the periphery contrast with smoldering shades of rust and blue within the fracture itself, producing a sense of residual heat against an otherwise static field.

The composition is structured around the principle of the trace - a visual record of the moment following a destructive process. Here, the crack does not register as surface damage but functions as a full element of form, organizing the entire structure of the work.
