GLIMPSE OF SKY
canvas, original technique, 60х68

A dark, striated surface forms a dense ground, recalling engraved metal or a weathered rock face. Across it unfolds an intense accumulation of red pigment, interrupted by black voids and thin white lines that read as discharges or fractures within the mass. Within this dense, almost corporeal structure, an isolated fleck of blue emerges - a point where the density of form momentarily loosens, opening onto another, deeper layer of the composition.
This glimpse does not structure the space so much as interrupt it, producing a sense of something surfacing through the dense fabric of the image without settling on it. The work explores the interplay of the dense and the intermittent, the corporeal and the atmospheric - a state in which the intensity of form allows only a brief, fleeting opening onto another order.
