Gold appears here not as a sign of luxury, but as an anxious spreading, a precious form of damage slowly taking over the surface. Cool blues, grey-violet tones, and whitish layers create an unstable, almost mineral environment in which the gold erupts as clusters, fissures, and crumbling islands of light. The eye cannot remain in one place: it moves across networks, scars, and dense accumulations, as if confronting a material that has undergone inner disintegration and yet continues to generate a new, dangerous beauty.

The image is held together by a contradiction between fragility and aggression. Gold usually promises value and fullness, but here it acts differently — as a symptom, as a trace of uncontrolled growth that can be called neither fully alive nor entirely dead. This is why the work is not about decorative brilliance, but about the seduction of destruction when it knows how to disguise itself as radiance. I want to preserve that doubled sensation: attraction and recoil, the elegance of the surface and its inner threat. It is within that unstable beauty that the central tension of the painting emerges for me.
