Light emerges not as clarity, but as a fragile resistance to dense, wet darkness. The surface breathes through layers: heavy earthy masses, green and brown shifts, milky drips, and cold flashes of white gather a space in which rain feels almost physical — like a veil, a noise, a memory of moving air. The eye does not travel in a straight line; it wanders instead, pausing in openings where a soft inner glow rises unexpectedly from a thick, nearly dusky field.

I am drawn to the state between disappearance and revelation. Nothing is given окончательно: form dissolves, contours sink, and the verticals read at once as tree trunks, trails of water on glass, or figures barely stepping out of shadow. Light does not conquer darkness or cancel it — it exists within it, as a brief act of presence. That is why the work is built not on dramatic contrast, but on slow looking, when the image does not open at once but gradually pulls the viewer into its damp, muted, shimmering space. Its force, for me, lives precisely in that refusal to become fully fixed.
