Form in this work does not simply unfold across the surface — it bores into it, passing inward layer by layer. The concentric circles, resembling at once cross-sections, targets, shells, and pupils, create the feeling of a persistent movement toward the center, yet no center offers a final point of rest. Red, ochre-yellow, green, and dark rings pulse with an almost bodily intensity, while the ridged, serrated texture makes this movement feel not smooth, but viscous, tense, almost obsessive. The eye is drawn into one circle and immediately thrown toward another, so that the entire surface begins to function as a system of mutual vortices and answering impulses.

Penetration here, for me, is not a gesture of conquest, but a condition of deep intrusion: form entering matter, the gaze entering space, the outer entering the inner. That is why the work is held by an unsettling doubleness. It carries the decorative force of ornament, yet beneath it there is an almost physiological unease. Each circle feels like a world of its own, and yet all of them are connected, as if infecting one another with their rhythm. That impossibility of remaining on the surface is what gives the image its force: it does not show depth from the outside, but makes it felt as pressure, attraction, and inner involvement.
