PORTAL

The center of the work flares up like a rupture in ordinary reality — a fiery red core tears through the dark, cool field and forces the space to break outward in all directions. Blue, violet, and green currents do not extinguish that heat; they sharpen it. Around the burning mass, they become a field of turbulence in which every line reads like a trace of eruption, impact, or passage. The eye is pulled almost immediately into the incandescent heart of the composition, then begins to wander across the edges, where color dissolves into flashes, shadows, viscous waves, and aftereffects of an inner explosion.
For me, the portal is not a fantastical doorway and not an illustration of another world, but a moment of radical shift, when matter, energy, and perception stop being stable. The inner force breaks outward so intensely that the surface can no longer preserve its former shape. That is why the work is held by a collision of attraction and threat: the center draws the viewer in with light and intensity, yet also feels like a zone after which nothing can remain the same. Its tension emerges precisely from that doubleness — as an image of transition that offers no calm, but demands transformation.
