Yellow bursts cut through the surface like residual heat, like traces of light that has already passed through space but has not disappeared without a mark. Black and dark red bands gather the composition into rigid horizontals, as if holding energy within a predetermined rhythm, while the pale blue-grey ground offers no calm — it vibrates with thin lines, splashes, and scratching gestures. The eye moves through these layers as through zones of tension: above, heaviness; in the center, compression; below, another eruption, less controlled than before.

Light in this work is neither soft nor consoling. It acts as a force that leaves a burn, a trace, an inner shift. That is why “Suntraces,” for me, is not about landscape or natural harmony, but about the memory of an impact that cannot be fully erased. The painted mass flares up and then breaks into a nervous network of lines and stains, creating a state in which energy is held on the edge of disintegration. The work holds attention through that contradiction: here, light does not liberate — it exposes the hidden tension of the environment.
