UNFOLDING
canvas, original technique, 75x80cm
2025
The form unfolds like a flower, yet never fully settles into that image. Red and ochre masses gather into petal-like shapes radiating from a dense, saturated center. These “petals” are uneven, shifting, partially dissolving, as if the act of opening is unstable and incomplete.
Cool blue-violet areas act as a surrounding medium rather than a background, seeping into the form and softening its edges. Yellow accents intensify the sense of internal pressure — points where growth seems to accelerate.
The image of a flower remains suggested rather than confirmed. It appears briefly, then dissolves back into the flow of paint. This oscillation between recognition and abstraction creates the core tension: the form leans toward an organic order but cannot fully sustain it.
The work holds this state of unfolding — not as a finished image, but as a process in which form continuously emerges and transforms.
