Pain tightens the face here as if grief were passing through it not as emotion, but as a physical force. The tears, the tense hand pressed to the temple, the clenched eyelids, the hard lines around the mouth — everything in this image speaks not of a passing feeling, but of a condition already breaking a person from within. The dark clothing nearly merges with the background, and for that very reason the face and hand become more acute: light does not reveal beauty or gesture, but extreme vulnerability. Nothing distracts from this inner fracture. The space around remains muted and heavy, like an environment in which pain finds no answer.

War here, for me, is not a battle scene and not a symbolic allegory, but what remains in a human face after impact. It enters not through weapons, but through loss, fear, helplessness, through the destruction of inner support. That is why the image is built on directness pushed to its limit: I do not hide suffering behind elaborate metaphor, nor turn it into an effect. What matters to me is preserving its human truth — without embellishment, without distance, without unnecessary words.
